Elena Bagourdi

Dr. Bagourdi is a clinical and health psychologist as well as a life coach, specializing in the treatment of trauma, clinical and existential depression, anxiety, and addiction. In her practice, she primarily employs Depth Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Existential Therapy, and a Person-Centered approach to address underlying issues that persist despite traditional therapeutic methods. She focuses on issues related to self-esteem, trauma, shame, lack of life satisfaction and identity. Her goal is to promote acceptance of the various parts of the self in a non-judgmental way and empower individuals to make conscious choices about their lives, free from old wounds, fear or rejection and insecurities, so they can achieve their professional and interpersonal goals.  

Dr. Bagourdi's diverse multicultural experience has fostered a deep respect and understanding of the human psyche, as well as a profound empathy for the challenges faced by individuals burdened by fear, procrastination, doubt, shame or self-blame. She believes that people can enhance their lives and achieve their goals from a basis of self-awareness, self-acceptance and authentic alignment with their identity. She is collaborative, warm, and deeply invested in her work and clients.

Dr. Bagourdi is the founder and CEO of EB Psychotherapy Inc. She holds a PhD in Clinical/Health Psychology, a Master’s in Clinical Psychology, and a Master’s in Organizational and Economic Psychology. Before her training as a therapist, she worked as an organizational consultant in Greece. She is also the Clinical and Program Director at EXIS Recovery, a dual diagnosis outpatient treatment center. Additionally, Dr. Bagourdi has a strong interest in her community. In 2014, she founded Elderly Behavioral Wellness Services, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals dealing with issues related to aging and debilitating chronic illness in the greater Los Angeles area.
