Kelly J. Baker, LMFT is a Los Angeles native. Her career began as a sign language interpreter for 20 years. In 2007, Kelly transitioned to the field of psychology pursuing a Masters Degree in Psychology and graduating from the Phillips Graduate Institute. She will be celebrating her tenth year of licensure in September 2020. During the last 10 years, Kelly has been working as a therapist, as well as a clinical supervisor mentoring, supervising and educating clinicians in training. As a therapist, Kelly is passionate about collaborating with her clients on an individual basis, assisting them with sorting through what has brought them to treatment, while providing them with coping and self-esteem tools, so that they carry their life story in a healthy and manageable way. Kelly is known among her peers and clients for being not only compassionate, but also having the innate ability to make people feel comfortable, heard and understood in her presence. With a deep respect for human differences, Kelly helps her clients develop an understanding of themselves that becomes the foundation for their healing journey, in a non-judgmental manner. During her downtime, Kelly remains a life-long artist; she practices hot yoga, and loves going to the beach to pick sea glass and to collect shells.
