Leila Bamdad (PSB 94025113) received her master’s in marriage and family therapy in 2012 while working with youth, teens, and elderly and her Doctorate in Psychology with emphasis in marriage and family therapy in 2021. Leila has found her passion in working with trauma, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse patients ever since. She utilizes her background in holistic, Eastern therapeutic traditions by incorporating them with evidence-based clinical approaches such as CBT, DBT, psychodynamic and object relations therapy. Leila is skilled in deep guided meditation, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, emotional freedom technique (also known as EFT or Tapping), somatic based awareness, heart-based therapeutic approaches as well as certified in the Eastern healing tradition of Reiki. Leila is currently working as a registered psychological assistant under the supervision of Dr. Elena Bagourdi, collecting clinical hours towards licensure.
